I’ve been working at Boeing in an IE role for almost a year now. Its a traditional lean manufacturing type of IE role. I realize that i now want to do something not at all related to manufacturing.

I want to go into finance or other type of analyst type of jobs. Problem is, ive only been working a year. I got lucky with my position at Boeing as i graduated with a 2.60.

After a year of work experience, will they still ask for your gpa?

What are some good positions or good companies that I can work for?

From experience, my new employer required that I actually submit transcripts from my schools even after one year of experience with another top-notch firm. So yep, they still care. You don’t really have a long enough track record with one year of experience to demonstrate that you’re a good employee.

I’d go fishing, if you want a new job. It’s up to you as to whether or not you disclose it up front on your resume, but don’t lie about your GPA. Some companies won’t care, some will.

Other folks are going to have better recommendations on companies or positions that you might be able to pursue, so I’ll let them answer that part…
