Our new to us house came with a pool table. We decided that the basement space where it sat was not of much use so left it alone. Little kid had a better idea: she wanted that space turned into a playroom for all our grandkids, so she found a friend who wanted the table and would pay to have it moved. A win-win! Friend got a freebie for her new place, and we got rid of the massive table! The movers disassembled the whole thing and reassembled at the new place (it is an art, like moving a piano).
Our friends just bought a house. The previous owners left a massive gun safe… my husband who likes to tackle moving projects offered to help take it to the dump but looked at it and rescinded the offer.
