Is it beneficial to have taken Precalculus before taking AP Bio? Is Chemistry an important prerequisite for AP Bio?

I believe that some statistics are learned in AP Biology, and as such Pre-Calculus may be a prerequisite by your school. Chemistry should be of importance especially when cellular respiration and photosynthesis are learned. I am not in AP biology, I am in IB, but I have noticed these topics were of emphasis when I attended the AP biology reviews before their test.

precal is absolutely not necessary for ap chem. though in kinetics chapter you see some natural log formulas, the ap exam NEVER asks you to calculate it.

chem important (although u could easily learn all the required chem during the actual AP bio course) precalc not at all.

NO! at my school, ap bio is taken by sophomores and most sophomores are still either taking alg2 and trignometry or precalculus concurrently. so no… bio is more conceptual so as long as you get the concepts then its all good. a little background of chemistry is recommended but you can do without it actually.
