Need private student loan help.

I'm not eligible for federal money of any sort because I went over the 150% rule. It's 60 credits to graduate and I took 90. I need 1 more year to get my AA and be accepted into a 4 year bussiness program. I changed majors and that's why I have so many credits.

I can't use the following because my school (Edison Community College) isn't listed with these companies.
Think Student Loans | Private Student Loans and College Loans from Think Financial
TuitionWise Student Loans | Private Student Loans and College Loans from TuitionWise

I don't want to use sallie mae or AES Suntrust company.

Are there any other loan companies out there? I have the proof of enrollment form and my mom will cosign with me. I need $5,000 which isn't alot. I want the check to go directly to me and not the school. Also, I don't want the private loan company to contact the school because my financial aid department sucks. They will not release any information about me period. I've been fighting with the financial aid department for a while now and they just are incompetent and hassle people.

check out the bank you bank with. also check with the credit unions in your county and other CUs you might be eligible to join.

I'm looking for online name's of companies.

I saw your other posts (<a href="">;/a>) on same subject. You have some good responses there.

Also, as I mentioned before, look for credit unions in your county (and any credit union that may be at your parent's employers); you might get better options there.

I googled for Florida Credit Union and a couple of names that came:
FLCU-Florida Credit Union-Your Mortgage Solution
About First Florida Credit Union

I am not recommending any insitution here and am not sure if you can become members (memberships are restricted to certain residents and other such conditions).

You really have to look for financial insitutions. You can look for more info in sites (student / personal finance sections) like, Yahoo Finance, MSNBC.COM etc.

hope that helps,

There were like 2 responses to that message and that was in a different situation.

I'm looking for private student loans from places other than credit unions. I don't qualify for those types of loans.

Then I guess you can look in local directory of financial institutions and approach them. Or, may be Florida residents (I read in some of your post you were from Florida?) may be able to tell you.

So basically, you don't know.

Why even respond to my message then?

I guess nobody on here has ever gotten a private student loan online before.

Your last post has a tone that will discourage posters trying to help.

If you "don't qualify" for credit union loans, or for companies Astrive, there really aren't many other choices. Your best (perhaps only) bet is to check with Edison Community College and find out what companies other students use.

Your state may also have an Education Financing Authority; search for it on Google or on your state's official website. They would have additional information for you.
