NEED readers for Penn community essay. I think the ending is cheesy.

please read and comment on my cheesy ending!

PM it to me. I already applied ED.

I’m applying RD but I’d be glad to help :)

My ending was super cheesy and I still got in Wharton. Cheesy is good (sometimes). :P

That’s good to know! I’m writing my common app essay right now and getting v worried that it’s not original enough :(

my common app essay is very long…750 words? more?

I got in and my common app essay was RIDICULOUSLY long… ha. It was 1175 words. :)

I think it’s always best to try to keep your essay concise because the smaller space you can pack a message into, the more powerful that message will be. However, if you truly use all the space given and eliminate wordiness/try to be purposeful, I don’t think it’s a huge deal to go over any specific word limit.

I’ve hear 750 words is actually pretty good by the way. A little shorter might be better but if your writing is purposeful, you should be fine! :)

too bad my essay gets good/meaningful at words 500-750 haha

what are you talking about in the community essay? i’m debating whether to talk about how i would join certain clubs or why i want to do engineering. also, do you think it would be bad to talk about starting a club??

I’ll take a look at if you’d like… I got accepted ED.

Mine was like 600 words long and I got accepted into Penn.

mine is about a page.

i talked about a language house at penn.

i will send you all the essays this afternoon! THANK YOU!! i plan to submit tomorrow…so…hurry!

can you guys help me with my essay?

I’m done with mine so you can PM it over  same for you hotdancer ;)
