Need revenge...plz help

<p>I want revenge on a local hs I didn’t get accepted to a few years ago (HTHS to be specific) and feel the best way is with a 2400 and an acceptance letter to an Ivy. I’m currently a HS junior and want some help with what I need (summer programs, competitions, awards, etc) to get in to top colleges. Thanks!!</p>

<p>The following app is theoretical, but plausible:</p>

SAT: 2400
SAT II: 800 math II, 800 physics
GPA: 98 weighter (yea I know it sux)
Rank: top 10%…idk exact
APs: Junior: Physics B (5) / English (5) / Calc AB (5) / Comp Sci (5)
Senior: Physics C / English / Spanish / Calc BC / Stats
Other tests: AMC-12: idk what I’ll get</p>

Essays: not sure, haven’t written haha
Teacher recs: calc teacher who ent to MIT…English teacher who worked in addmissions for Columiba
Counselor rec: idk he’s too young
Supplementary material: hopefully a piece on theoretical physics
Summer Activities: applying to a bunch currently
Hook: Fast runner (not college fast)…dad went to MIT (I know it won’t help much)</p>

<p>Most of this is hypothetical. What if things DON’T go as you plan? I think it’s useless for you to do a chance thread until you are a senior and you have actually accomplished everything you mentioned. With that in mind, if things DO go as planned, you would have a great shot at all of the schools mentioned, with Notre Dame being a low match/safety, CMU a low match, Fordham a safety, and Columbia, Princeton, and MIT all high matches. I would advise against having a laundry list of activities. Focus on a few things and pour your heart and soul into them. This will make for great admissions essays as well as a demonstration of leadership, character, and commitment. After a brief look at your projected ec’s it seems as though they are all very superficial and pointless and don’t mean anything to you. Go for depth, not breadth! And why get revenge? That will solve nothing! What will that do for you? Ego boost? So what!</p>

<p>I’m sorry, but none of this will happen for you. You won’t get a 2400 on the SATs. Just saying. Also, you can’t just put together an application with amazing stuf. You need to earn it. I really hope that this thread is a joke and that you’re kidding. Also, just to let you know, you might want to apply some school that aren’t EXTREMELY hard to get into. you don’t want to be the kid that gets no acceptance letter and has to go to a community college for the first year.</p>

<p>Your EC’s are obviously directed towards padding. Admissions officers will view this as a joke. And what the **** do you think about getting a rec letter from the president? Of course it would be good…</p>

<p>Stop padding and obsessing much over how you need to decorate yourself to get into these schools. They want to see a genuine, human being who knows who they are…not one of those pathetically obsessed kids that kill themselves over getting into a school.</p>
