Need some adult advice. Would this be appropriate?

I read this intriguing nonfiction book for my summer reading, and I wanted to contact the author about a question I had about one of his main points. I found an email, but it’s a college email address (as in, it ends with .edu). Would this email only be used for his students? Would it be appropriate for me to email him using this email?

Sure, that’s fine. A lot of people have only one email address. My dad is a college prof and his university address is the only one he has. He gets mail from lots of different people, not just students and staff.

thanks! :)

Send the email. Worst case the author ignores you. You are ovethinking this.

I actually emailed an author once with some comments about her book and was very surprised and pleased when she replied. She even suggested some other authors I might like!

See if the author has a blog on livejournal and post there.

I emailed the author and got a very nice reply  turned out well
