Need some advice and help.

I am currently looking at going back to school. I went to a traditional university for a year, but my heart was not in it. I was going to school for something that I did not really want to do.

I have found my calling in life and want to get back in school to further my career.

I am afraid that if I list this previous school, and they get the transcript from them, I will never get in.

Are there schools that do not care about past college history.

I heard that American Military University would not care, but this is a for profit university and that makes me nervous.

If it matters I want want to study Business Administration.

Thanks

How long ago did you attend the previous university? You will need to disclose that you previously attended the school, but some colleges/universities have an “academic forgiveness” policy where you can start over.

Usually there needs to be a specified period of time between attendance.

Also, academic forgiveness doesn’t mean financial aid forgiveness.

“but this is a for profit university and that makes me nervous.” And that red flag that’s waving shows you’ve got a head on your shoulder.

Your transcript must be submitted to any legitimate school, that’s true. But plenty will gladly accept you. Your situation isn’t unique. Best of luck to you.
