<p>I am in a bit of predicament. I have a chance to continue a summer program at a university but I am hesitant to go. I have Ds in both semesters of math and a D in the first semester of science for my 9th grade year. I have improved a lot since then but this is my last chance to make these classes up before the end of summer (I could just make up the science in a cc or something before 11th grade ends). My gpa by uc standards is above 4.0 but my cumulative hs gpa is roughly a 3.0. However, I don’t want to limit myself to just ucs as I’m pretty indifferent towards everything. I want to leave options open for private unis, public, etc. Should I make up these classes since privates have their own formulas for calculating gpa or should I just attend this summer program again?</p>
