<p>I gave my son kerig coffee pods. They are expensive and in his campus apartment a regular coffee pot isn’t allowed but a kerig is. I bought enough to last him several months. </p>
<p>Well…since it can’t be ordered online, I’d say AMC gift cards and their favorite restaurant gift cards. </p>
<p>Travel coffee mug, Ticketmaster gift cards, athletic wear (sweatpants, dri fit shirt). My 22 yr old son still likes balls - so a new soccer ball to kick around, a new basketball to shoot hoops with, a football to toss…</p>
<p>Remote control helicopters. Can be bought for as little as $20 and my boys loved them.</p>

<p>I ordered a couple of “Lego” style NFL figures of his favorite players. Figured he could put them on his desk at work or his coffee table. Movie gift card. Also ordered a portable power charger for his IPhone.

I am at the stage with my two oldest I get them items they use but are on the expensive side plus a couple of nice items. </p>
<p>Crazy socks seem to be all the rage around here and can be found at many retailers (Nordstrom, Tillys, etc) <a href=“http://www.stance.com”>http://www.stance.com</a> I bought DS 24 new Rainbow brand flip flops (may kinda be a California thing, but these things last and last and get more and more comfy with wear and abuse), I also found a great new book for him, Boys in the Boat (he’s a former rower). His main gift is a custom diploma/commission frame, but the gift he may like the most is the sushi making kit. </p>
<p>I second gift cards to fave restaurants, movie tix or gas card. </p>
<p>For my son and stepson, both 25, I bought Cards Against Humanity and the Chromecast thing you plug into your tv for streaming movies and such. One got slippers, the other asked for dress shoes. Stepson (and D) got the Bose Soundlink Color Minis and a suitcase for his “big” gifts; my son got a juicer and dress shoes for his most costly gifts.</p>
<p>What is your budget? One thing we are thinking is to help them max out their Roth for the year. </p>
<p>Both sons wanted running tights this year. Something new for their sports apparel repertoire. I guess, technically, that’s clothing, but I would never have thought of that on my own.</p>
<p>What size sweatshirt for someone who is athletic build, likes them big and is probably 6’1" and 173lbs?

<p>EK, I’d go with XL unless he’s a skinny 173. S is lighter but the same height and he goes with L for sweatshirts. Everything else he is a medium. Mom60-thanks for mentioning beef jerky-it’s S’s favorite and he never buys it for himself and I still need stocking stuffers. I second the remote helicopter or drone idea. They have drones as tiny as 1 inch. I got S a larger one that has a camera-they guys at his job are all geeks about stuff like that and I can see them all having fun with it.</p>
<p>My 20-something son says that Amazon gift cards are the best gift of all–then he can truly get anything he wants.

<p>Amazon gift cards? My 25 year old does a lot of shopping on Amazon, mostly electronics and books. If one likes concerts, Ticketmaster gift card is good too. My son would like that too!</p>

<p>We gave our s’s practical things (some for their sports and some because they travel to a very cold area!) like scarves and gloves and merino socks and base layer underwear. And a longboard for older s. Have mixed feelings about that, but he wanted it to get around on flat surfaces near work (since where he lives is anything but flat).</p>
<p>ek: definitely XL. Agree with everyone’s suggestions. Nice leather gloves, scarves to wear with winter jackets, restaurant gift cards, ear buds, even Target gift cards, music stuff, sports stuff, car stuff, travel stuff…we got our older one a beautiful set of luggage for his college graduation this coming May (gave it to him earlier because he travels so much)</p>
