Need to improve... but how?

<p>Alright, I’ll make this fast.</p>

<p>I just received my scores for the 2010 ACT:</p>

<p>English: 27 (15,14)
Mathematics: 34 (18,16,16)
Reading: 26 (15,12)
Science: 29
(writing not back yet)
Composite score: 29</p>

<p>My goals:
Mathematics: 36
Composite score: 32(+)</p>

<p>I need to improve within a time span of about 5 months. Does anyone have any serious English/Reading improvement/training strategies? I am willing to do what it takes to meet my goals I just need advice how.</p>

<p>Since you have 5 months, I would suggest that you read some novels. Really, reading anything would help because it would still be practice.</p>

<p>In addition to doing that general prep, I would suggest that you take some practice tests, maybe just the English and Reading sections. It is not enough to simply grade the practice segments. You need to go over them when you are done so you can see what should have been done.</p>
