Hey!
I am an accepted int’l student who did not apply to need-based financial aid. I have been looking at every part of the website but I cannot reach my merit-based award (if I got one) information. Could you tell me how I will reach it? On the application status page I can only see my personal info and the congratulations letter without any reference to merit award, then “The steps for Class of 2017”. How will I learn whether I received aid? Thanks!

Merit aid would be towards the bottom of the page where you see your decision.

If it’s not there, you haven’t received merit aid. (I know because I didn’t either)

I do not want to sound like a denier , but how do you know that you haven’t received any aid? Maybe they forgot to write it or something?

Oh I was accepted EDII so I would have known by now haha.

I did receive my fin aid package later, but that was need based.

Then, not having a merit-award is such a boomer!

Anyway, I will still think positive and make myself believe that they made a mistake :D

They don’t offer nearly enough merit aid.

If you weren’t awarded merit aid, don’t expect to get it.

And, never pay $200,000 in cash or loans for a bachelor’s degree. Go where there’s aid.
