I have been offered admissions into Rensselaer/Albany Medical School's accelerated program. However, I have also been admitted into Duke University as an undergraduate. I have really taken to Duke and am considering giving up a guaranteed admissions into Albany Medical School for pre-med at Duke.

My only concern is this "Dean's Certification Letter" that i have heard about that many schools use to artificially boost their acceptance rate. Thusly, my question is whether or Duke is selective in giving out their Dean's Certification Letters.

Thank you for taking the time to read and address my question!

Nope, not in the least. The worst the office will ever do is suggest that you take a year off. If you want to apply then, and your mind is made up, they'll do what it takes to support you.

as I am opposed to accelerated programs on principle, go to Duke.

Oh, also: <a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/duke-university/147457-pre-med.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/duke-university/147457-pre-med.html</a></p>
