Negative Nancy = Rejection :o

For my first choice school (American U) I have to write an essay about whether I think the internet is a positive or negative force in today’s society.

I honestly did try to write that it is a positive force, but for some reason I was struggling with it…

So I wrote that it is negative, and it turned out better.

Do you think that decreases my chances of getting in? Is it a disadvantage to be so negative?

maybe itll help? Theyll think your an old school peep?

I don’t think so…I think they’ll want to see what you say not which side you agree with…if I said negative, then I probably would’ve wrote about how kids these days don’t go outside and play (rather than use the internet and video games indoors)…

Your conclusion won’t affect your chances of getting in. How well you present and defend that conclusion could.

I don’t think so . What they are really lookin at should be your ability to develop your idea and the the critical thinking ability.
