<p>I’m fortunate to work for a university that provides a generous tuition benefit for dependent children. My S has been accepted, but it’s not his first choice. Has anyone else used that package to negotiate an improved package at other schools (Ivy, elite private liberal arts)?</p>

I’m not sure you’d have much luck as you’re trying to negotiate for a merit offer (I’m assuming you can’t argue increased need) showing another school an employee benefit. They’re not comparable. </p>
