nephew is engaged - flowers for his fiancée?

We just found out that one of my nephews is engaged! He’s the first one of them to be engaged, we are really happy for them.

I was thinking of sending flowers to his fiancée (they live together) but thought I should check first. They’ve dated since college so I’ve met her a few times, but we live in different cities so it isn’t like we meet that often. Would it be appropriate to send her flowers for congratulations?

I think it is always lovely to receive flowers. You could send them to the couple, since they live together.

Agree. I would send them to the couple. Dear nephew and fiancee, Best wishes on your engagement! We are so happy for you! Love, ___.

What a great idea. Send them to the happy couple!

You could also address the flowers to her only and have the card read “Welcome to the family, we are so happy for you both!”.

I always love to receive flowers!

BTW - It is “best wishes” to the bride and/or the couple, and “congratulations” to the groom, since it is assumed he proposal and “won” her acceptance.

Sure send flowers and say you are looking forward to her joining the family.
