Nervous about an 8:30 class?

@SafeFromScience I recognize one’s ability to sleep and wake up varies from person to person. I’m just adding my experience. My neighbors regularly threw parties on Thursday nights because they didn’t have classes. I, however, still had my 8 AM the next day. I rarely found it too difficult to go to sleep even though my bed was along their wall. Just a bit of focusing on sleeping rather than what they were doing and I was out. Additionally, my roommate’s alarm went off 30 minutes before mine did for an entire semester. In the beginning, I found it difficult to fall back asleep, but by a month or two in, I either wouldn’t wake up when her alarm went off or I would wake up, fall right back asleep, and not even really remember being woken up. It’s amazing how much we adjust to things when living with someone.

This year for 12th grade, I’d wake up every day(mon-fri) at 4:00AM. 4:00AM. I too will have an 8:30AM class but I see it as an upside because that gives me more study time, free time, and work time during the afternoon.

I just started attending my local community college last fall. I signed up for a 800 am class. It is something I won’t do again. I also had to get my daughter ready for school too. You have to discipline yourself for the really early morning classes.

Whenever I am anticipating an earlier wake up time in my schedule, I start training myself to go to be earlier and wake up earlier a few weeks in advance. Try waking up early over the summer to see how it goes.

I had an 8 AM last fall during my first semester - an 8 AM math class, nonetheless. I actually didn’t mind it because my schedule allowed me to be done with classes by noon everyday, so my day was finished when everyone else’s was just starting. It started to get a little harder to wake up as the semester continued, but I pushed through it and got an A in the class. I know a lot of people would skip, so don’t be that person.
