Nervous and Sportsless

I don’t play any competitive sports like soccer, basketball, softball, etc.!
However, I do do Synchro Swim (Water Ballet)! I also won an Endurance Swim Race over the summer!
I have really good grades, I do a few ECs, and I volunteer!
Is it possible to get into Choate, Deerfield, Andover, or Taft if you don’t play sports and are not a total prodigy or genius?

Thanks!!!

Are you a legacy?

BubbleGum321 – Of course it’s possible! I know several people at Andover/Exeter that aren’t great at sports and aren’t prodigies/geniuses (although very bright!)
Personally, I’m sports-less too, haha… I’m athletically challenged, so it’s okay. (:

Also – I’ve never heard of Synchro Swim, but since it’s water ballet (?) – it doesn’t seem like something a lot of people do…which, in my opinion, would only be to your advantage, since it makes you different!

So relax  You can still be sport-less and get into one of these schools, so don’t worry :)

I can really relate  I used to take Synchro too! It does count as a sport, and any awards you’ve won (especially at Nationals) can help your application.
Schools don’t just want an athletic, intellectual genius. They also want people who have leadership qualities and character.
