So is there any freshmen that are nervous or anxious to be leaving home as the time to leave to school get’s closer? If so what are you doing to calm those nerves down?

I am heading into my 2nd year now, but I was definitely nervous when I arrived at UT last fall. There really wasn’t anything super special I did to calm the nerves, basically just try to think about all the positive things about going away and leaving home, and maybe start to prepare for classes (read your books, make up schedules, etc…) to distract yourself.

But really, there isn’t anything to be nervous about (which you’ll realize after a few days being on campus) so just be excited to be in college- It’s a great time, I’ve found.

I’m nervous because I’m already a freakin junior. Time flied by so fast

Oddly enough, I’m more nervous this year as a sophomore than I was as a freshman. I think I am finally coming to the realization I’m growing up and that scares me a bit.

Don’t worry, LonghornDan, you don’t REALLY grow up until you have kids! :)

@LonghornDan- I feel the same way. By the time you know it, this year will fly by fast and we will be juniors. Almost out into the real world :(

I’m from VA.

I’m a little nervous.

Lets see what happens haha

@WastedxYears, I’m from VA as well. It’s a great school so don’t worry, soon it won’t even seem like you’re that far away :)
