Hello CC’ers! I am a bit nervous about my application to Brown because one of the larger supplemental essays was about my background with OCD and how I overcame it. Will such an essay be deemed too serious or too cliche/overdone/etc.? The rest of my supplement was rather humorous but I am afraid this one essay will come back to haunt me. It was very personal but when I read it over again it sounded just a tad cliche. Should I be really worried?

You’re being OCD about your essay on OCD. Just saying.

^symptom of OCD. Let it GO! Relax, what is done is done. If you get in, you won’t know if it was because of, or in spite of that essay. If you don’t get in, same.

LOL good point guys. I’ll stop worrying now. :)

I wrote an essay about this too(severe OCD). Interesting to see this thread :).
