Nervous to graduate!

I’m going to be graduating high school on wednesday, and I’m really nervous.

I’m scared that I’ll trip when going up to receive my diploma. I am only 4’8 so I’m wearing 5 inch wedges. I have been wearing them for a few days to get used to them though.

I’m worried that my cap will fall off. After you receive your diploma, you shake the principals hand, but if you know him personally, like I do, you hug him.

I’m worried that I don’t know when to start walking to get my diploma when they call my name. Do I start walking as they say my name? Or after they say my name?

Wow. Don’t be so nervous, get up, have fun. If you stumble, laugh, it honestly does not matter. At my brother’s graduation the other day a LOT of people lost their hats while on stage. All they did was grab it and go. No big deal. Trust me.

Unless your last name is Aardvark, you’ll know what to do by observing other people. You’re probably not the only one who’s nervous about this. Have fun, and congratulations.

I graduate on Wednesday, as well. I’m wearing flats, so the stumbling on heels thing won’t be a problem. And if my cap falls, then cool. I’ll just throw it at this one ***** that I really dislike and all will be good.

I wish you luck, worried one.

I wore 4 inch heels, as did many girls. No one tripped. It’s rare, so it probably won’t happen to you.

Most caps have elastic nowadays, keeping them on. If yours doesn’t, hairpins are a girl’s best friend.

In most cases, you will be prompted to walk. It’s also pretty easy since there are people doing it right directly in front of you.
