<p>Thanks for putting up the link. This is such a handy tool and is very accurate. The suprising part is the state one lives in actually influences the amount of scholarship and net cost.</p>
<p>It is a great tool and based on our experience seems to be pretty accurate. I’m guessing that “state” is used as a proxy for “cost of living” but that they use a more refined method for the actual FA awards. So if you live in an expensive area within a state your award may be more generous than the estimate, etc.</p>
<p>Harvard is extremely generous with financial aid.</p>
