Netbook for engineering

I’m going to engineering school, and was reccomended in the general forum to get a laptop. I have a computer for whatever I need, and would just need a cheap laptop/netbook for taking to class for notes. I wouldn’t be doing anything beyond just taking notes and going online. I don’t want to spend a lot of money on it, so netbooks being cheap, and the low power not being problematic should be fine. However, I’m worried about the small keyboard. Has this been a problem for anyone? Is there something better I should be looking at?

Can you go to a Best Buy or local computer store to try out a netbook? Everyone has different hand sizes.

the HP mini is supposed to have a VERY comfortable keyboard
