Hi guys,

So I was browsing UPenn’s webpage and I came across some course listings for the Netter Center for Community Partnerships and the ABCS (academically-based community service) courses. What are these programs truly like? Do students usually take a lot of Netter Center courses, or only one or two? Finally, do they really provide a lot of useful service or are they mostly class-room based?

Thank you very much for your replies =) I’m truly fascinated by this program–most of my community service in high school was somehow based in academics (peer tutoring, historical interviews, science demonstrations) and I’d love to really further that in college. I never had a ton of community service in high school, and it’s something I regret immensely. I was on the fence about applying to Penn early decision, but learning about these ABCS programs just sort of pushed me over the edge to apply early.

Thanks again for your help, everyone =)
