Never mind protesters’ gripes at Hamilton College — teach them English!

“… Yet their demands are so ridiculous — and grammatically challenged — they wound up proving why colleges would do better to ignore the gripes and focus instead on the basics of higher ed.” …

Really? You’re posting things from the NY Post?
This seems like a new low.

^^Does seeing that publication violate your safe space?

^ ^

My impression is that it’s more that the NY Post is regarded by most local New Yorkers and those familiar with that paper as having such a partisan spin of many sensationalist stories that’s it’s credibility is around the same level as one would accord the National Enquirer or other sensationalist tabloids.

**And the New York Times doesn’t have a partisan spin?

^ ^

  1. Nowhere near as much...especially considering the NYT employ some conservative columnists like Ross Douthat.
  2. They don't center their paper on coverage of sensationalist stories....and then adding further sensationalist spin which are more along the lines of tabloids like the National Enquirer.

Well, to be fair, the post is more “sensationalistic” than biased. It’s bias I think is equal and opposite to the NYT, it is just WAY more sensational. NYT would not run silly stories, and the post kind of thrives in them!

I’m going to reserve judgement until I see what Breitbart.com has to say…

@cobrat: newsflash not everyone thinks like a New Yorker. Frankly, some of us don’t run our decisions thru a ‘what would a New Yorker think’ filter. Surprising, I know.

@romanigypsyeyes : It would be helpful if you posted an exhaustive list of the publications and new sources which are acceptable to you. Because…it’s always best to listen to information presented in ones own echo chamber.
