I thought Mariah’s video was cool.

Finals tonight… no one watching?

I agree with Randy… Candice won round one, by an octave or two.

I watched. I think Candice should win. I feel she was stronger tonight, and has been stronger than Kree for several weeks now. I find Kree rather boring, not that Candice is exactly full of personality. I would have preferred Angie in the finale, but I was okay with Kree, as long as Candice was one of the two.

Yep, I agree dancemom that Candice should win but feel that these two were the most deserving of being in the final. I also don’t think it hurts Candice to have 3 out of the 4 judges in Candice’s corner (Keith being the lone Kree supporter).

They were both so good. So maybe Candice was a bit better, but Kree was awesome. I don’t really care who wins, they both deserve it and will both be superstars. Such a great finale.

Candice is much better imo. Her vocal prowess trumps Kree’s. Both are really great, though. I agree that this was a great final two and finale! I’m really hoping Candice wins since she has been strong throughout the entire competition. She has had some of the best moments of the season, and he last performance was breathtaking.

This has to be one of the first times EVER (maybe the season Scotty won too?) that I didn’t even watch the finale performance night. Not interested in these two singers. Had seen the song spoilers and was bored to tears. Blah.

Will try to catch tonight’s show to watch the other musical performances of the finale.

Bet they will have a BIG send off for Randy tonight.

I thought Candice just blew it out of the park on her last performance. She is technically flawless. There are producers praying she loses tonight so they can snatch her up. Superstar all the way. I hope to see the type of opportunities that Jennifer Hudson has had. Tonight’s results only dictate if Candice is owned by Idol for a while, which in the long run might not be best for her.

I don’t dislike Kree, I just think side by side there’s no comparison. She’ll be very successful in country music. She’s got strong vocals, a wonderful spirit about her, and country music loves the combination of talent, spirit, and a backstory. They’ll embrace her and she’ll have a great career.

Both winners.

I will be interested to see what Angie does in the future. I think she’s very talented.

Did anyone else catch the story about Jimmy Iovine and Dr Dre donating $70M to USC for a new degree program? I thought it was pretty cool.

<a href=“Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine Start U.S.C. Program - The New York Times”>Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine Start U.S.C. Program - The New York Times;

Angie said in an interview this weekend that she already has a deal in the works and sounds like she was expecting to sign very soon.

^ That’s great news! :)

I think what might have knocked Angie out of the final two was the going home videos. She seemed kind of full of herself, and the constant clapping like a seal was pretty weird. Compared to the other two…her personality was far less attractive, more fake. She would have been my top choice before watching those videos, but afterwards, I was not as much of a fan.

I love Candice and really hope that she wins tonight. Her voice is one of the best I’ve ever heard on Idol. Kree seems like a warm, lovely young woman and I hope she has a good career in the future. This is one of the best final two I can remember. I never warmed up to Angie.

So it sounds like neither girl had a knockout “winner’s” song??? Pretty hard to top Phillip Phillips “Home” song! EVERBODY made lots of $$$ of that one!!!

I would agree with that, for Candice’s song in particular.

Have to agree with the comments on the “single” songs. I kept thinking of the neat marching band with Phillip Phillips last year. These songs both just seemed ho-hum. I did comment to DH that we’ll probably be hearing Candace’s song in a commercial for hair coloring or something.

I’m not a big country fan, but Kree reminded me of an old-time country singer like Loretta Lynn or some one similar. She’s very good at what she does. I loved the old video of a young Kree on Rosie O’Donnell.

Candace has an incredible voice. I don’t think I would ever purchase her music unless she goes a bit more upbeat though. Just a personal preference.

I am fine with either one winning tonight. I don’t think I’ve ever said that about AI before. They are both very good with two different types of music.

I also agree about the ‘winners single’. I hate to say I don’t even remember Kree’s, which tells your something, and Candice’s seemed to peak way too early and stay way up the entire time. She is so good at the rise with that wow moment, and then the well controlled but powerful finish. You can’t have that wow moment or a powerful finish if the song is essentially ‘up there’ the entire song. She had no where to go, if that makes any sense. It’s like they thought…this is what she’s really good at we’re just going to make and entire song of just that.

I think Kree is going to win although I think Candice is slightly better. I want Candice to win but I don’t want her to be locked into an Idol contract.

BTW, I saw Jordin Sparks at a small event recently. Honey Child can sing. I don’t know how good she was when she was on Idol but she blew me away. She’s also a beautiful young lady that seemed to be greatful and happy for her career. I was impressed.!!!

Well my favorite performance tonight was HANDS DOWN Angie and Adam!!! Hope I can buy that somehow tomorrow !

Most boring season ever.

Wow. Harsh. I could listen to Candice all day. And I loved her duet with Jennifer Hudson.
