Tops for me (after Anoop…no special order for me, I loved them all): Anoop, Kris, Danny.

Megan sounded just the way I love her in the rehearsal with Randy Travis… but awful in the performance. And that dress! The coconut comment was perfect.

Adam was… interesting. Alexis seemed to be channelling Dolly Parton.

Adam was just bizarre. The Kiss meets Johnny Cash comment was spot on.
Thankfully I fell asleep just before Megan. I really didn’t think Alexis was that bad.
As I predicted, I wasn’t crazy about Danny’s version of Jesus Take the Wheel.
There were so many other songs I think would have been better for him. For instance, “We Rode in Trucks”.
It will be interesting to see who gets booted tonight.

Am I the only one who really liked what Adam did last night? He actually did something very original and I’ll admit, strange, but I think it was way better than what would have resulted from him trying to do straight country.

Adam’s version may have been strange, but he is so talented! After he was on I fell asleep for most of the other performances, but did wake up in time to vote for Adam!

I didn’t mind what Adam did at all. I think it was creative (how’s that for obvious?) and twisted a genre he just doesn’t like to his own persona. What’s wrong with that? (says I).

I am so glad that others enjoyed Adam’s performance as much as I did. The boy can sing! I really admire his backbone - he didn’t attempt to do country, which would have led to the judges telling him he didn’t sound good - which he could have told them, since he wouldn’t be caught singing country, anyway!! I hate how some of the best singers are set up for failure with the narrow genre nights.

I really hope it comes down to just the men for the final few - they seem the most talented by far.

H & I watched Adam’s ROF together. H has been a fan of Adam’s since the beginning but thought this was too “over the top”.

For me, it was an interesting experience. Initially, I felt myself unsure of what I felt but in the end: brilliant. This guy is an amazing talent but perhaps not for AI. As one blogger simply stated: “He’s just too big for the box”.

Amazing vocal, creepy, sensual, bizarre and completely memorable. A few times every season, I get goosebumps. This was one of those times. Since Johnny Cash has done covers of Nine Inch Nails and was something of his own rebel, I believe he’d appreciate this version.

When Adam sang I thought DH was going to go into convulsions. It was just so odd. I won’t deny that Adam has talent but he just seems out of place on AI. I always get the feeling that he’s an actor playing a part.

Adam definitely showed his theatrical background in that performance. But he rocked it and had the voice to do it well. Sometimes the judges (mainly Simon) criticize contestants as being too “musical theater”. But Adam has been in Wicked and I think his voice would be great as Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar.
I am always amazed when the camera pulls out and shows him next to Ryan. Adam is quite a tall muscular young man, despite comments about his nailpolish.

Adam is tall, and, looks even taller when he’s standing next to Ryan who is very short. I really hope they have a musical theatre night this season, and that Adam sings Is Anybody Listening from The Ten Commandments. He’s amazing. You can find it on youtube. I won’t be surprised if Adam sticks around for a long time on AI. He has an incredible base of fans and actor friends in the theatre community who are voting like mad for him.

But the Vote for the Worst crowd is voting for Megan so we’ll see how long she lasts.
I think Alison could be a dark horse in this thing. She has a huge voice but that hair is distracting.

I think my usual curse will work again - my favorites were Jasmine and Michael, if he leaves tonight that would be a shame since he would not be on the tour, but I can’t guess who else could go home instead of him since Megan will get the VFTW votes.

It’s time for Michael to go back to his kids. I wonder if his story tonight about his kids missing him and wanting him home is a hint to the outcome of the show. I wish Megan was at the bottom instead of Alison. Scott should be at the bottom too but he’ll keep getting votes because of his disability and his ability to overcome many of his life’s obstacles. If it were based on his vocals and performances, he very well would have been sent home a while ago.
