Allison is now safe again so either Alexis or Michael are going home…my money is on Michael.

I hope it is Michael.

It should have been Michael. Oh wait—maybe she’ll be “saved”.

NOT SAVED. Alexis goes home. Oh well, it would have happened in the next 4 weeks anyhow. She isn’t one of the top 5 or 6 so really not “worth” using the save yet.

you knew they weren’t going to use the save so early. I’m bummed. She’s much better than Michael but if you don’t get the votes…

Oh well, Alexis gets to go home to her sweet little girl. I still think it should have Michael going home.

I hope they don’t use the SAVE on Megan. My guess is that they use the SAVE either on Megan (I don’t know what their fascination is with her) or Scott.

i hope they dont use the save at all.

I think that they would have used the save on Allison. They like her a lot. I find it interesting that they would not have thought about using the save on Michael. He was fortunate to have been the safe one. At least he gets to go on tour.

If they would have saved her there would have been issues next week- cause the week they “save” someone, the next week they boot 2 off. So…with the top 10 going on tour that would have created a big problem, plus would have been REALLY unfair to those who secured a spot tonight.

They’re going to save the “save” for the 5th to last show. Just so they use it and so the 4th to last show will have more at stake.

I think they’re going to use it in the 2nd to last show, so they can drag out the finale even more than usual with three contestants.

Can’t believe Michael is still there. I was really surprised Allison was in the bottom three. Maybe it was the hair. It should have been Megan. Maybe all the voters felt sorry for her because she was sick. I agree that Scott isn’t that strong and will prob. be around a little longer just because of his story.
I thought it was mean to tell Alexis that she was one they were thinking of saving her and it depended on her final performance last night. Everybody had to know they wouldn’t use the save that early.

audiophile, the save can only be used up until the competition reaches the top five.

packmom, I agree that it was mean to say that to Alexis. I don’t for a moment believe that they had any intention of using the save on her.

Oops, guess I missed that! I Tivo the show, play it back a little later while I’m doing other things and make liberal use of the fast forward function on my remote.

Yes. There was no reason to give Alexis false hope. Simon is an AH. They will not use it this early. The judges have no idea what is coming. Someone earlier on this thread said that the vote-for-the-worst group is voting for Megan and that may be why she was not in the bottom three and Allison was.
Adam is great. He had such a genuine smile on his face when Simon said after he “watched back” Adam’s performance it was even worse.

I thought they’d use the save on her because now there are only three girls left in the competition. Might make those roadshow production numbers look weird.

that new judges’ override rule just raised the “meanness” level for the show. It’s difficult enough for a contestant to find out she/he has been rejected by the viewers, and then to go through another rejection from the judges (who play it up even more by making the contestant hope there’s even a chance and making them sing for their lives when the judges already have their minds made up)… dang. It was kinda tough watching Alexis try to give it her very best shot almost to the point where she was choking up on some of the long notes, when it certainly looked like that there was no chance they were going to use the rule at all, or that early.

I have to say I did not think she performed well last night. And I like her generally. I wonder if the added pressure affected her. Quite often they sing that last song well because all the pressure is off.

It does kind of add to the meanness factor. They basically told Michael they would not have even considered saving him. It would be better if they just didn’t say anything until it came to the end of the show and they announced if they would or would not save the contestant.

We were offered tickets to see the show on Tuesday night, but there was no way I could miss work that day nor my girls could take off school. I’m glad I turned them down and got back on the waiting list as I did not like country week at all. Although our family would love to have seen Adam!

Motown on Wednesday night this week. What is on Tuesday that preempted AI?
