Kris has been my early fave for a while…Adam is pretty obvious, the judges want him to win…but, not offense to any MT people…but, I think he’d be awesome on Broadway, lol. I’ve seen tons of pix of him where he’s changeable…as in a character…no doubt he has a voice to go with it. I see him as a major bigtime star on Broadway…sorry, lol. And thats coming from someone who usually favors the rockers…eh…Kris, seems to be really well rounded to me, but he’s so low key…doubt the masses will go for him, too bad.

How come they didn’t do Idol Gives Back this year? I know they made less last year but it was still tens of millions and the causes were so important.

They decided to go to every other year on Idol Gives Back. I guess to keep it fresher. The revenue curve was not going the direction they (advertisers) would like to see.

I liked Lil initially, but she has not found herself. She keeps trying to copy different singers without her own style really coming through. Like Simon says - karaoke. I think it’s Kris and Adam. I don’t think Allison plays well to the voting crowd.

Daughter’s HS concert was last night so I missed the show As soon as we got home my daughter said, “Check College Confidential! See what they said.”

We enjoy reading your insightful, colorful observations and opinions, comparing our impressions with yours.

Does anyone know where we might view last night’s performances?

last night’s adam performance:

[Top 7 Redux :: Adam Lambert video by mjsbigblog - Photobucket](<a href=“Photo Storage”>http://s79.■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■/albums/j141/mjsbigblog/Top%207%20Redux/?action=view¤t=adam-top7-2.flv)

After Ring of Fire and then Mad World, I am sold on Adam. I think he deserves to win just for those two performances alone.

^^ and Tracks of My Tears.

What impresses me is that weeks later we still talk about Adam’s individual song choices and performances. That’s quite a feat and indicates talent, imagination, and impact.

Thanks, blankmind. You just made my morning

I, too, am gone over Adam. My teenage daughter is embarrassed by my enthusiasm. Not so much so she wouldn’t download all of his songs onto my iPod for me. I noticed they are on her playlist, too.

I agree with you, SOHW. Week after week Adam finds different ways to impress and entertain, which says a lot about his versatility as a performer.

When I watch the contestants sing, I ask myself if I would pay money to see them perform an entire show. To all of Adam’s performances, I have said, “Definitely!”

The latest on VFTW:
A Youtube clip with this caption:

This woman is convinced that Adam Lambert is not gay, because attractive people cannot be gay, Christian people cannot be gay, and the VFTW pictures of him kissing a dude are all photoshopped. Then she says, “Have an open mind.” We love freak shows like her, because they always make us laugh.

There certainly are a lot of ignorant people out there and most of them are on YouTube!

I’ve known Adam personally for about 4 years. He is an awesome person and deserves to win. I met him on the set of a musical and his voice literally made me stop dead in my tracks. Plus, he has the personality to back up his voice :).

Oh, and yes, Adam is definitely gay.

Go Adam!

romanigypsyeyes,
I’m sure he is an awesome person and I could care less about his orientation. I am astounded by the ignorance of people like the one I quoted from Youtube.

Wait, you didn’t think I was saying anything against you did you? I was just speaking in general.

It made me sad this morning when I was listening to the radio and someone called in to say Adam wouldn’t win because he was gay. It’s a singing contest for pete’s sake!

You’re lucky, romani gypsy eyes!

I’m with ebeeeee. Who cares about his orientation! Yes, the ignorance is shocking, but not completely surprising.

To me, Adam’s performances are pure entertainment: Escape from the ordinary.

Each week I keep hoping just a tiny bit that Adam will be just okay instead of unbelievable and that I can believe it will be a real contest between the top few contenders. Each week after he sings I find myself asking how anyone else could possibly win. He is incredible, but I miss the mystery of wondering how things will play out. If the votes come in on talent, he can’t help but win.

roman…I didn’t take your post to say that you were saying anything about me. I just wanted to clarify so that I didn’t get in cyber trouble. :)

What time does is air on the east coast?? 9?

Haha, ok ebeeeee I was just making sure.

While I want to know the results I always feel so bad for the singers having to dance around in these awfully staged group “sings”. They all look so pained. Is that the way the tour is?
And just think…a group disco number…Arrgh!

Paula seemed almost coherent in that video. The again she seems ok during audition too. Editing.

OK… is she falling out of her dress?

My very thought; from the top and bottom!!
