<p>I am on the west coast, but my D already looked and told me who went home. We watch Lost and go back and forth to AI to see who gets voted off. We were shocked Adam was in the bottom 2! We vote every week. I’m looking forward to next week. I really think Danny should be next to go, there is nothing special about his voice. Adam needs to stay, so everyone needs to vote next week!</p>
<p>I’d like to vote Danny off-can’t see the appeal other than the sympathy vote.</p>
<p>I just wonder if this show isn’t rigged to get America riled up. Maybe not the one who goes home, but really, Adam in the bottom two? I think it’s about ratings and making a show interesting.</p>
<p>I agree with shesontheway…though, I think it was good for Adam to get a taste of the bottom…there wasn’t a doubt in my mind that it was a “gimmick”. We (in my house) knew it would be Matt tonight. Allison is an awesome talent, but she is young…so our thinking was they’d let her through, but she won’t win. Chris, has been my actual favorite for the past few weeks. He’s genuine, through and through…and there is just something real about him. I think every single one of them are actually very gifted…something I’ve never thought about AI before…lol…I think Adam is so Musical Theater…he can’t help it…it is what he is…though he wants to be a rocker. I told my husband tonight, I think he’s theatrical enough to be the new Freddie Mercury…lol…he has that sort of stage presence. I think Allison is talented beyond her years…very sexy voice for a 17 yr old! I don’t like her appearance though, doesn’t really fit with her voice ( to me)…I could see her losing cause of her age. Danny.eh, yes I can hear that he has a voice, but…could I stand seeing his face on cd covers? not really. That whole widow thing just doesn’t ring true to me…lol…if my husband died, I wouldn’t be out in a huge competition during the same year…he just seems fake to me. Again, I think they’ll all end up making a living out of singing…and good for them. i think this has been the best final 5 ever. I wasn’t surprised that Matt left tonight…it was his time. Allison will be next…( unless they need to keep a girl in…then, I am afraid they’ll fix it so Chris goes home)…to me, AI has chosen either Adam or Danny to be the winner…would be a shame, cause I think Kris would be the one to push forward…no doubt the other two will make a living…especially Adam…he is MT all the way…lol</p>
<p>Was anyone else put off by the food fight and the subsequent presentation of a cleaning bill? We were kind of appalled that they would make such a mess in such a beautiful house that does not belong to them.</p>
<p>Yes, D and I were very disappointed at the food fight. As she pointed out, nice way for future role models to behave. However, I suggested that perhaps they were instructed to do that by the producers or whoever, for the “entertainment” value. I can’t imagine they would have done that on their own - food all over, broken dishes, etc. I think the whole thing, including the presentation of the bill was prearranged and preapproved.</p>
<p>A seemingly out of place food fight happening, conveniently enough, when there’s an HD camera and sound crew at the house, and during a week when there’s dead air for them to show the footage of it? Of course it was spontaneous :)</p>

<p>Agree about the staged food fight. Did you notice that everyone but Danny and Allison hid in the corners.<br>
Ironically, I had this feeling Adam would be in danger from the complacency of his fans and everyone just assuming he will be in the finals. I think the judges purposely highly complimented all the singers (with Kara saying Allison would be in the finals), to keep the ratings up by giving the appearance of a horse race.</p>

<p>If they mean the final two, then say final two. I don’t think the judges really want to commit to who they think will be the final two (other than Simon, who has commented on this).</p>
<p>^ I was just talking about Carrie Underwood today. She is a big star also. But none of the other idol winners has matched. The jury is still out on David Cooke.<br>
I agree they are “finalists”. But it is pretty clear that Kara meant the final two showdown since she said something like, “if that doesn’t get you in the final (or maybe she said finals) I don’t know what will.”<br>
The theme for next week is Rock with “Slash” as the mentor. I have no idea who that is.</p>
<p>Slash was guitar player with Guns N’ Roses. This should bode well for Adam.</p>
<p>Justamom- opps, I forgot about Carrie Underwood. Yes, she is doing very well. Yes, to all, the food fight was infantile. What civilized person trashes someone else’s gorgeous home that he is a guest in? Inane.</p>
