<p>@gondalineNJ. I agree that you’ve captured what the author intended (impressive given that you haven’t read the book!). Even as I read, I never got the impression that she saw her experience as something that only happened at Duke. She told a story that she seemed to think was unfolding on many campuses across the country. I agree with that sentiment entirely, and just as the book affected my view of Duke, so did it affect my perspective of all “elite” schools. There are some serious issues with higher education today. Nice to read a story about it that’s told in such a relatable way</p>
