Hello! I want to create my own college ranking and search system, but I have no idea where to start. Currently, I want to base ranking metrics on affordability, long-term job placement after graduation, mean starting salary, mean mid-career salary, class size, percentage of professors with PhD’s, campus safety, and resources and opportunities available to students (i.e. career center, student clubs, internships, etc.). I want to do this broadly as well as specific to individual majors at each school. This would all culminate into a very specific student search engine in which students could narrow down schools by the metrics above and come across options that are affordable and have plenty of opportunities for their specific major. This would all start at the undergraduate level for 4-year universities, and I would expand to 2-year and graduate schools later. I am currently an 18 year old high school student with no programming experience and little resources to complete this task. Any thoughts on how to start or the concept as a whole?
