New England Prep School Kid: Are the Ivies calling?

I’m a junior right now. Lacrosse will also be a hook for me. I did summer study programs for two summers, but I’m doing lacrosse show cases this year.

I attend a New England Prep School(Kent).

PSAT: 202(Sophomore year…)(80 Math, 58 CR, 64 WS)
PSAT: 210(Practice beginning of Junior Year…)(80 Math, 63 CR and 67 WS)
Should I try to make my scores: 80 MAth, 700 CR, 700 WS? Would making my CR and WS higher help a large amount?

Mu Alpha Theta Honors society 3rd place national prize winner for a stat project
APs: APWH(5), AP Stats(4), AP Micro(5), AP Physics, AP BC Calc, APUSH(Currently enrolled in the last three)
Top 10% of my class, Dual sport varsity athlete, on merit/athletic/need scholarship to a New England Prep school(From TN as well; Not the usual area).

My GPA is a 4.8/6.0 unweighted.

Junior year classes: AP Phyics, AP BC Calc, APUSH, English, Honors Bio
Senior year Classes: AP Bio, Post-Calc, English, AP Chemistry(Or not) and three term contained courses or I can take an AP History. I was thinking about Con law, Capitalism and business ethics for three term contained courses…

I’m a big Model UN guy, Math Team, I participate in REACH(Community help), Investment Club, Republican Club, School lit magazine(I wrote a 17 page short story about a coach that changed my life and I think I will be an AP Scholar with distinctions.

I attend a boarding school in the NE(On scholarship; Merit, Athletic and Need).

What are my chances? Anything I should focus on? Am I a long shot? Should I apply ED/RD?
I may need financial aid, if I got in ED and my family can’t pay what happens?
If my family income is about 195k… I have a younger brother and we support dying grandparents… Can I suspect at least 15k in FA?

Can I get some love?

The coaches recruiting you will tell you the combination of GPA and SAT they’ll need to get you past admissions.

Depending on other family assets and how the schools treat the grandparents, aid is tougher to guess. MY guess is you only have a chance of $15K at HYP. Penn is probably the worst ivy for aid. If you have a home with any equity, any investments…I’d expect none.

And don’t forget, the first aid may well be loans and work study at those that still have loans.

Why not one of the top schools that can give athletic scholarships?

I’m honestly a top DIII or middle tier DI athlete. In Lacrosse, the NCAA only allows 12.5 Scholarships per team… So that means that I can expect 1/4 of a scholarship on average. Lacrosse is not really a full ride sport sadly…

Financial aid isn’t the biggest concern… We can pay for about 20k a year right now. So, I mainly want to get into a great college.

Yes, but most of the schools you’re looking at are unlikely to give a family making $195K over $30K/yr. So you probably need to look at schools that can give you that one-quarter scholarship and/or academic merit aid schools.

Okay. Let’s say finances aren’t a concern(I’m going to apply for a post boarding school extension of my scholarship)… Any advice in that case?
