Roger, you want feedback on your interface enhancement? It sucks. “Ice” designs are 1990s, and there’s a good reason most of us left them there when CSS took off. You can’t anticipate the font size I’ll use for reading comfort; by limiting the horizontal space I have to some arbitrary number you think “looks good,” you’re shortening the lines of text, making me scroll more frequently (an annoyance when I try to catch up on threads of interest while, say, washing dishes), and making me work my already-fatigued eyes about twice as hard to read your content. And at some point it becomes not-worth-it enough to head off and find another community. Let us choose our own dratted column width by sizing our windows. We’re not here for “consistency” – we’re here for content.
