New graduate student just received a disastrous grade.

<p>Hi all,</p>

<p>I am a MSEE student at Univ of Houston. This is my first “real” semester at UH. (I had previously taken 6 hours as a PB).</p>

<p>Last semester, I achieved an A- and B+. This semester I have a D and my other grade has not arrived yet but I am confident it will be an A- or an A.</p>

<p>As a condition of my acceptance, I was required to have a 3.5 GPA over the next 12 hours taken. Since I have a D, that is completely unachievable now. Actually, if I get an A in the other course I just barely meet the 3.0 GPA requirement in order to stay eligible as a graduate student.</p>

<p>What should I do now?</p>
