New Immigrant

I am an immigrant. I immigrated to United States two months before my freshman year had been over. Struggling with my English at first, I did not do any extracurricular activities in my freshman year and just joined several clubs in my sophomore year. Now I am a junior already but I am just president of two clubs and have worked in hospital for about 200 hours. Although I also participate into a swimming team, I do not swim fast enough to win award.

Maybe, the only advantage for me is AP but colleges don’t look at it so muc. I studied by myself and got 5 on AP Calcus AB and AP Biology. This year, I decided to study AP Physics, Chemistry, Chinese, and Calcus BC by myself (My school does offer those APs but it says they are senior class.)

Biology Olympiad is only my award.

SAT I: I try to improve it to 2250

SAT II: I try to make it above 750

So at last, how close has my chance approached to 0? What shall I do?

can you elaborate more on biology olympiad? like is it state level, national, or the coveted international.
Also, did you mean the ultimate winner, gold medalist, silver medalist, bronze, honorary mention, etc?
Because I’m pretty sure if you have gold medal or above in international biology olympiad you’ll get in no matter what (in rare case maybe Stanford will offer you admission instead of you applying to Stanford).

You sound very driven and self-motivated, which is always a plus!

I agree with nngmm. Can you describe the extracurriculars/clubs that you do? I’m wondering what your interests are, and Stanford will want to know too. I think they will be understanding of your circumstances, but they will want to know what you are passionate about and that you are a driven individual.
