<p>Tuition is about 12K per year, so that’s 219K / 12 K = 18 students could have had full tuition scholarships and Kean could have made do with the old table.</p>

<p>Nonsensical. Supposedly it did not even go out to bid, and the reasoning was to “develop relationships with China”.</p>

<p>I don’t care who you are. Nobody needs a $219,000 conference table. I don’t even understand how a table could feasibly cost that much. </p>

<p>Of course, the real question is why they needed that fancy a conference table in the first place.</p>

<p>I live in NJ, and my parents pretty much laugh at Kean. This is just one reason. A TABLE??? LOL.</p>

<p>I think it is a table with all kinds of technology embedded. But still.</p>

<p>Realistically, I’m sure this school, and almost any other school as well, have used 219K in much worse ways than this. This isn’t a big deal at all but since “$219,000” sounds like a lot of money people are going crazy about it. That’s all. </p>
