New Job

<p>Well, I start my new position on Monday… a bit nervous… It’s going to be a complete 180 from what I’ve been doing up till now… but I’m really looking forward to it! New and exciting challenges! </p>

<p>It felt so strange to pack up my desk today at work… and say bye to everyone… I’m sure I will still see them from time to time but since I’ve been in my current department for 4 years I’ve made quite a few friends/acquaintances there! I am moving from our 3rd floor to our 1st floor! I used to joke when I moved from the 2nd floor to the 3rd floor that I was moving up in the world… now it’s opposite!! </p>

<p>My counterpart in our office is off for the next two weeks so I have to drive to our other office, which is about an hour away, for the next week or so… will be doing some training and shadowing someone at that location. Thankfully they reimburse for mileage so it shouldn’t be too bad. I think Monday is going to be a lot of meet and greet (especially since I’ve never even been to our other office… lots of new faces to meet!) I worked out all sorts of last minute details today… I just hope we didn’t forget anything!! </p>

<p>Had my first day… met a LOT of new faces… all in all it was pretty good… I learned today that I have the ability to work from home certain days if I so desire… which will be great for when we’re covered with 2 feet of snow or for if I’m sick…</p>
