<p>Just announced. Looks like lots of features and a wide price choice. We have a Kindle 1 and I always thought the screen to be way too small. I’m not sure if the KF HD with the 8.9 screen will be big enough. The 9.7 inch iPad has 45 sq. inch screen because of its almost square design but the 8.9 inch KF HD has a letterbox screen. I hear the KF HD has allot less screen area because of the of the screen shape. Anybody know? Guess I’ll need to see the it in my own hands.</p>

<p>That’s 35.8 sq inches for the Kindle vs. 45.2 sq inches for the iPad, about a 25% difference.</p>
