Hi!
My current macbook pro is 15" with 4 GB RAM and 2.4 Ghz. It has a broken screen. But the other parts are in a great condition. Which one do you think is better? Selling my macbook and get a new macbook pro 13" with 2GB RAM and 2.26 Ghz? Or repair it for around $400? Is there any huge difference with my old 15" and the new 13"? (My activities is just words, safari, itunes, iphoto, imovies, and sometimes photoshop) And how much will it be if I decide to sell it? Thank you very much.

An “LCD not working” second-generation 15" MBP with a 2.2ghz Core 2 Duo and 2 GB of RAM is on ebay for $499. Yours could sell higher given that it has a faster processor and more RAM. It could sell for higher still if it’s unibody. Of course, the broken screen is still a limiting factor.

In my opinion, I’d pay for the $400 to get the screen fixed. A new MBP 13" would be a downgrade compared to your current laptop.

The Macbook Pro line is expected (rather, rumored) to be updated in January. I’d wait until January, and then reconsider your options.
