New mattress recommendations? Especially for split adjustable king

Who can help or share your experiences? Both good and bad about your mattress purchases in the past several years? What are good options to look at? Especially with durability!

Our current king size mattress is 25 yo. It is coils with a pillow top. Fairly expensive back in the day. It seems fine still, but I really want a split king adjustable bed. I love hotel mattresses which seem to be on the firm side, so I think I want something with individually wrapped coils. We typically stay in Doubletrees, Hampton or Marriot. I don’t like memory foam.

I looked at the Dream Cloud hybrid but the longevity doesn’t seem to be there per all the reviews I’ve read. Now I’m thinking of getting some kind of Serta Perfect sleeper from an in person mattress store and a basic adjustable frame.

Thanks!

Tempurpedic makes one. We have a regular tempurpedic so can’t really give a review if the adjustable king.

We have Saatva latex hybrid twinXL mattresses on our twin XL adjustable bases. When they’re pushed together, you can’t tell the difference from a regular king mattress. They’re plenty firm enough but very comfy.

We would never get a king-size adjustable base where you can’t adjust each side separately, though.

Costco sells a brand called Nectar. Online at least.

We bought a split king from Costco like 15 years ago with an adjustable base. It was twice the price or more of Nectar but has been good. And you can adjust firmness on either side. I’ll look tonight when I get home from Th giving and repost. I imagine Sleep Number is the king of what you seek brand wise. My dad and sister would never buy anything else.

We have the sleep number - and I like it and my wife does not. Wonder if that would be any mattress we buy though!?

On the value side, we have done well with the Tuft and Needles. You can buy 2 twins and get an adjustable split platform from several sources.
