<p>Teachers aren’t allowed to “friend” students in our state (fb, etc)(at least I think it’s a state law–may be a county rule or something). That was one thing DS thought was nice when he graduated and turned 18–he was able to friend some of his favorite teachers who want to keep up with him and cheer him on during his college experience</p>

<p>Hm, back in my high school (FL), teachers would use Facebook to keep students up to date on homework assignments and test dates, while also fielding questions while the students were at home doing the work.</p>

<p>If a teacher and a student are going at it, I don’t think Facebook will be the root cause.</p>
