New Oreo flavors

Oreo cookies are coming out in a couple of new flavors. I don’t like it. Oreos should only be white inside and chocolate on outside. Oreo has gotta stop this stupid extra flavors nonsense…please stick with the original white inside and chocolate outside only !

Same with M&Ms…stop screwing with them…I don’t want pretzels jammed inside my M&Ms!

OOh, but I love, love pretzel M & Ms. I can’t have them in the house. But I agree with you on the Oreos…although I may have to try the cookie dough Oreos…

So um don’t buy them and stick with the kind you like. I’m sure some folks at Nabisco’s advertising department would be happy to know that you’re talking about this on a college admissions forum.

Hey, Whenhen, we talk about anything in the Parent’s Cafe. And talking about cookies and candies first thing in the morning is fine with me!

Hey, after reading the post, I just ate a couple oreos. No complaints from me about the topic or the new flavors.

After the article last year about Oreos being as addictive as heroin – I stopped craving them. Ditto to the commercial chips such as Pringles. When I learned that food scientists create these things that induce cravings and promote binging – I stopped being as interested. I just can’t bring myself to buy them.

I’ll admit I go nuts for the white chocolate peppermint M&Ms at holiday time. They’re insanely good. I won’t go out of my way for any other M&Ms.

Personally, this doesn’t bother me. All Oreos are junk. What does annoy me is Cheerios doing this. The one product, Cheerios Classic, is a fairly wholesome food. You can give them to babies. But putting them out in millions of sugar flavor under the guise of wholesome Cheerios is messing with people’s heads. So many people think it’s a license to eat junk and feed it to their kids. The amount of sugar in even so called Multi-grain" Cheerios is alarming, let alone all the frosted versions.

I was really tempted to try the peppermint oreos that were out during the holidays (maybe they are available all year round, but I had not seen them). But then I saw the cream was colored red. Not a fan of red food coloring in food if I can avoid it. I wish they would have just left it white and colored the package with the colors that indicate peppermint to them, and leave the food coloring out of the food. It’s not necessary. And yes I know there are other ingredients in there that are not good for you, but at least they make it taste good.

Yeah, I know, it’s whatever makes it sell.

Peppermint Jo-Jos (Oreos equivalent) at Trader Joes! That’s the good stuff. Even better, chocolate-covered peppermint Jo-Jos.

I am excited to try the cookie dough ones. I had some chocolate dipped chocolate creme oreos at Christmas and they were really good.

I will always like classic oreos the best (though I will only eat double stuffed), but the new flavors can be fun!

Peanut butter M&Ms are my favorite. I eat them despite the milk intolerance and just let myself get sick, they are worth it. (sometimes.)

I make oreos that are disassembled, filled with an additional filling–sea salt caramel, orange ganache, peppermint ganache, raspberry ganache, or Teddy Natural Super Chunky Peanut Butter–then reassembled and dipped in good chocolate, either milk or dark, depending on the filling.

Consolation …you are an Oreo god…

The cookie dough Oreos might make a tasty truffle! The berry ones were awful.

And that is why Consolation is not my mom. I’d be a happy 400 pounds with access to Oreos like that.

But I’m not trying the special Oreo flavors. I don’t care for them. I’ll stick with original. :)

Years ago, Oreo came out with a summer ‘flavor’ - they added pop rocks to the filling. I don’t like Oreos and never buy them, but I did buy a package of these. As a novelty food, it was fun to eat them. But just one package. I don’t think they were a hit because I never saw them again in the stores, but I will admit, it was a fun purchase.

shellz, those are NOT truffles. They are round, and they have some chocolate involved. That is the only resemblance. :)

I don’t even like regular Oreos, let alone peanut butter Cap’n Crunch flavor.
But we had our first Camp Fire girl sighting. H was thrilled.
I made him take them to his mancave. ( the mints, not the girls)

Lol consolation. I agree. But they aren’t bad in a pinch

I need to try these.

I recently bought the peanut butter ones and loved them. Bought some regular ones after that and some mint ones and love those too. They are additive.
