Typical IU to name an old white guy president. What else should you expect from southern Indiana? Ora should have been named, more qualified.

Read part of their reasoning for what they did…which one was more likely to NOT leave if not appointed president. I think it will be fine. And he’s from Australia so technically he’s not the old southern white guy you are referring to.

Hazmat, this is a very strange complaint to make considering the person he’s replacing (Herbert) is black, and has been president of the school since 2000.

See the following link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Herbert

According to your reasoning, I guess I should assume that if they named another African-American person president of the school, they were prejudiced against whites, hispanics and Asians. I prefer to think they just tried to pick the best candidate overall.

NOT my quote…critical reading is a skill worth acquiring.

“critical reading is a skill worth acquiring” <=== Translation: I didn’t make that statement DUMBA**! the ■■■■■■ below was the one bashing the decision made by IU.

HAHAHAHA sorry this was an opportunity that I could not pass over LOL.

I apologize to hazmat–my reply should have been directed to A2Wolves6–but then I shouldn’t be too critical of him, either. He has posted tons of wonderful stuff all over this site that is most helpful and informative.
