New resource- Google Scholar

Most of you have probably already read about this, but I thought I would post just in case. What a great idea and a great resource for our students!

Wow, I AM out of the loop! I didn’t know about this and it is an great resource! How long has it been up? Thanks very much for posting!

Just mailed the link to my kids. Thanks, Liz!

Liz, thank you so much for that link. I am the founder and president of a non-profit organization for the study of a rare neurological disease and this is one of the best sources I’ve ever seen for tracking down elusive medical journal citations. You’ve made my day!

You’re welcome! I think it’s pretty exciting.

Veronwe, it just started yesterday, I believe. I read about it when I clicked on NYTimes most e-mailed articles.

Awesome site, thanks lizschup. I did a search on a topic I just did a research paper on, and winthin the first 5 hits, two of the leading sources I cited were listed.

CD

many high schools, as a district or county, do subscribe to services such as this, such as JSTORE, and other electronic journals and things. I never used these services while I was in high school, but they may well exist at schools where your kids go, probably worth checking out at the school library (they’d need the login info to use them).

However, this seems to be very useful, and I will definitely use it for my research papers, and I hadn’t heard of it before, so much thanks for posting it! (and it’s free!)
