Ok, I went from a 2060 to a 2260. Out of 1600, I have a 1590. GPA is a 4.05. ECs, involve a LOT of classical and jazz bass (all state/allcounty/summer programs/4 or 5 jazz bands during the year), and some political debate things (awards at yale, harvard, penn). i’ve taken the hardest courses in my high school in every subject xcept language. i have an O.K. research background, i won a couple of competitions in microbiology and now im entering my poli-sci project into larger competitions such as LISEF and hopefully ISEF.

some extra stuff that i may or may not add to show that i’m not a geek…i have a gf/i mountain bike and snowboard in my spare time…voted for on two senior superlatives.

what colleges do you think i’m good for?

BUmp

what do you guys think!

There is no need to put the fact that you have a girlfriend on your application, or anything about senior superlatives. Please keep the superfluous information out, and colleges will appreciate you more.

Now, answering your question requires a lot more information. First of all, class rank? Gender? Ethnicity? SAT IIs? School background? Do you do any varsity sports? Your general participation in school activities seems shallow, although I understand that music takes a lot of dedication.

Our school doesn’t rank. I’m white-male. SAT IIs, best two are 730 Physics 730 US. School background, one of the most competitive public schools in LI, NY. I don’t have any time for sports.

Participation in school activities involves President of three clubs, the Model congress team, the jazz band, and the stage band. I’m on the chess team and I hold secretary position of the club. I’m in TRI M, which is a music club/honors society. I play bass for the pit orchestra for the school’s musicals for both middle schools and the high school.

i was on the cross country and winter track teams in freshman and sophomore year too

i’m still stuck on the whole…“i have a gf” part…i had 8 bfs in teh past 3 years…does that make me more eligible for uni? LOL…j/k

just saying, not a complete geek that sits inside studying all the time…but what about the stats

AP Scores

5 AP World
5 AP Euro
5 AP Physics B
4 AP Lang&Comp
3 AP US - *** HAPPENED lawl. didn’t study

bumpppppppppppppppppppppppp
wdup jesse

whos jesse?

and you must be a geek if you say “3 AP US **** happened lawl”

number one thats corny as **** and plus who cries about a 3 if they are really that “cool”

there’s a difference between studying for an AP and studying for courses every chance you get…and btw, i bawl over a three

Could you elaborate on the political debate thingies? and the awards?
It’s still a bit vague…

sure thing

the debate comes from a club called model congress…we debate congressional bills and such

the awards,

they’re speakership awards for model congress debate competitions. ivy league schools host the competitions administer the awards. the awards are given out to 3 people per committee (each committee has around 20-30 people in it), 3 people per house session (around 100 people per house). i have 1 from each, and an additional one from committee.

its a load of fun,

sounds kinda like MUN (MUN is much better tho
don’t mind me, i’m incredibly prejudiced :))

ok, based on what I’ve seen before, I’d say:
go for HYP (tho this year it’s such a crapshot I wish I were 14 years old again)
other schools would be some LACs (Amherst, and so on)
but u’re definitely a strong candidate
now chance me plz
