I got a call from my credit card company. Some unauthorized charges caused a red flag. These were fraudulent, and the card was cancelled. The “new” part is that the companies that registered the charges have my address as I have gotten letters from a couple of places regarding my “purchases” that I never made. These are the type of purchases that if you don’t cancel you will get charged monthly for a membership or products etc. And naturally when you call they don’t want to cancel, and one company even asked for more personal information! (which I didn’t give.)

There are a few companies that have made all their money with this sort of fraud. If you call and get grief from the company, contact your credit card company and they can just refuse the charges for you.
