New Stamps Scholarship for Pitt Students

Sounds like it is for only in-state students. I wonder if this will change the number of Chancellor scholarships being awarded to in-state students.

Stamps Scholarships are available at other schools (so don’t know if this residency requirement applies at these schools) but at the Univ. of Miami it was available to in-state as well as out-of-state students.

Since Pitt is jointly funding the Stamps program there, it appears that they’re at least initially restricting it to in-state students. This makes it cheaper for Pitt to fund, but that also means there are now more overall full-ride and tuition scholarships available in general at the school between Stamps, Chancellor’s, and Nordenberg Scholarships (and whatever else exists there).

But with Stamps awards also including a $17.1K stipend, that is definitely the award you want if you are a Pennsylvania resident.
