I just signed up for the forums, I’m 24 and just decided to go to college [still at step 1]. I intend on going for an associates in nursing while keeping a watchful eye on the push to require a bachelors degree, which I hope to obtain… someday.

I worked at a crappy job with great co-workers for 5 years to eventually make a whopping $12 an hr. I have plenty of nice things but I got an urge to do something different and wound up leaving my job 4 months ago in a horrendous economy to drive/move across the country and as my budget permitted, hit as many sights as I could. Met fantastic people along the way and despite putting my self in a financially uncomfortable position with a continuing bleak future, I’m glad I did it.

While on the road I took the time to decide what I want to do in a life and while it is still hit the lottery and never work another day in my lazy life, I needed something more practical and that is placing me in the directions of college education. I’ve always had poor grades in high school and have never taken the SAT or ACT and while kinda lazy, I wasn’t foolish. I choose not to go to college after high school because I never knew what I wanted to do and never knew it would take me this long to come down this route!

The thought of going back to school interests me and the thought of doing math again terrifies me… finger counting is still valid right!? I’m motivated on becoming at least mildly successful in life so that should help a little bit on the education front. I do have plenty of questions but I’ll get to those at a later time.

I’m rofflewoffles and I’m new!
