ziggy: don’t worry about the reading. they are like really. really. really easy. just worry a whole lot on timing.

Reading is the section that I used to struggle with the most. I would constantly break 34 on every section, yet only barely get 30 most of the time on Reading. The way that personally worked for me was to give myself 8 minutes per passage during practice with no distractions. This helps you on the real test since you are used to the quick, demanding pace. Good luck.

I’m also new to ACT
I know that the real ACT must be much harder than th official practice one, but I would like to know how much harder they would be.
THX

What “official practice one”? Do you mean The Real ACT Prep Guide or some other book, or are you talking about PLAN?

the one on the official guide every year
start with New York subways
also the official red book
I’ve done both the red one and barron’s, I think barron’s is way more difficult…

Do you mean the “Preparing for the ACT” booklet?
That test and the ones in The Real ACT Prep Guide (“the red one”?) are real live retired tests, so they should be about the same as the real ones. If the current tests are harder, it isn’t by much at all.
